From February 19 to 23, the 14th China International New Media Short Film Festival (CSFF) was held in Shenzhen, bringing together global leaders from the film, television, and digital content industries. Hosted by the National Radio and Television Administration and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the event highlighted innovation and excellence in short-form storytelling. Sereal+, developed by COL Group, was honored as one of the Top 10 National Short Drama Platforms Going Global, in recognition of its outstanding performance and technological innovation.
On the evening of February 19, the Golden Peng Index was unveiled at the festival’s signature “Golden Peng Night,” co-produced by Shenzhen Media Group, the Audiovisual Arts Research Center of the Communication University of China, and the China Television Drama Production Industry Association. Based on a comprehensive evaluation system and industry-wide data provided by DataEye, the index ranks platforms across several categories, including overseas expansion, content ecosystem, and production capability. A roundtable the following day invited recognized platforms, including Sereal+, to discuss the global potential of short dramas and new “Short Drama+” business models.
